Making the most of the sun

We’re nearly one month into autumn and therefore we keep on thinking: This could be our last sunny and hot day, so let’s make the most of it.

Yesterday we finally had our Belgian friends, the ‘Omokoroaantjes’, over for pikelets, the NZ version of pannenkoeken or crepes, baked by Sterretje and Ilias. First we stuffed ourselves with these yummy pancakes and then finished off with a game of back yard cricket.

 

Today we invited our South African friends over for lunch and together we went to the local beach for what could have been the kids’ last swim for this season.

 

Or is this summer maybe going to last forever?
